Reach out to me via phone, email, or the contact form on this website. I will contact you to set up a free 15 minute consult call to see if we would be a good fit to work together.
Here’s what to expect during the consult call:
I’ll ask you about what's bringing you to therapy right now
I'll ask you about what you expect of me as your therapist
I’ll tell you a bit about myself and my approach as a therapist
You can ask me any questions that you have
If we decide we are a good fit, we'll schedule your next appointment. I'll email you intake documentation to complete online prior to your first session.

Sessions with me feel warm, straightforward, collaborative, and practical. I work with my clients to recognize and effectively understand their emotions, increase their ability to tolerate discomfort, communicate effectively and collaboratively with others, feel more in control of themselves and their lives, improve their personal and professional relationships, and feel more connected to themselves and others.
-
Sessions are 50-minutes long. Most clients attend sessions once per week or every other week. We can discuss what is best for you and your treatment.
-
My rate is $160 per 50-minute session. Fees are due at the time of service. I accept debit/credit cards, cash, checks, HSA/FSA cards.

As with many specialized clinicians, I do not participate in any insurance plans. This allows for higher quality care, more flexibility, and more confidentiality.
While I do not accept insurance, I can help you navigate the Out of Network insurance process(see “How do I use my out-of-network benefits”).
-
Your out-of-network benefits are usually pretty straightforward to use. Per your request, I can email you a monthly superbill (detailed receipt) which you then submit to your insurance company. Your insurance company will then mail you a check with your reimbursement.
It’s always a good idea to call the number on the back of your health insurance card listed under Member Services for more information.
You can ask them the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health coverage? Am I able to use these benefits for telehealth?
What is my out-of-network deductible?
How much of my deductible has been met this year?
Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?
What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions are covered per session?
How much will I be reimbursed for a 45 minute psychotherapy session (CPT code: 90834)?
How do I submit claim forms for reimbursement?
How long does it take for me to receive reimbursement?
Is the amount paid based on the actual session fee or another amount?

Our first appointment will be focused on providing a comfortable and safe environment, and also building rapport and gathering information that will help me get to know you and your background. We will also discuss what your therapy goals are and what you need support with.
-
My cancellation policy is 24 hours notice. Of course life happens, and if you need cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide notice at least 24 hours before the session. If you fail to contact me 24 hours prior or you miss (“no-show”) the appointment, you will be charged your full session fee for the time you reserved the appointment.
I allow every client to late cancel one time per calendar year with no charge. If I late cancel on a client(cancel with less than 24 hours notice) I extend a banked, no charge late cancellation to you as well.
If you have two or more no-shows or last minute cancellations, I may choose to remove you from the schedule and give you other options for scheduling. If you are over 15 minutes late, I may cancel your appointment and no-show fees will apply.
I ask clients to keep an active card on file to cover additional fees incurred including missed appointments, document requests, etc.

I use an integrative, or constructivist, approach to therapy, meaning that I utilize multiple modalities depending on you and your unique needs. I pull from the following therapeutic modalities: Emotion Focused Attachment Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, The Gottman Method, The Allies’ Model, interpersonal/relational therapy, mindfulness/meditation, and psychodynamic. I use interventions from these orientations to deepen our work together and address the challenges that you come in with. I bring in psychoeducation with every client so that you understand what we are doing and why we are doing it.
